Summer vacation looks a bit different this year so we're helping you embrace the STAY-cation!

We're all trying to stay closer to home this year and while that might mean your typical summer vacation was canceled, it doesn't mean there's no way to enjoy the summer. So, we've compiled a list of staycation spots within driving distance of Port St. Lucie. Stay safe and enjoy! 

1. Hutchinson Shores Resort & Spa

2. Capt Hiram's Resort

Capt Hiram's Resort offers an island resort atmosphere right on Sebastian’s River Front. All of our smoke-free rooms have private balconies, some overlooking the beautiful Indian River, complimentary WI FI and parking. Other amenities offered include coffee makers, small refrigerators, hair dryer, iron and board, in-room safes, and 43" TVs. The free-form pool is heated. Guests may also enjoy Blackfins Riverfront Grill (serving breakfast, lunch & dinner) and 4 bars: the Main Bar, the Bahamian-style SandBar complete with Bimini Beach, the Coral Bar and Scoops. 3. Mellon Patch Inn - Bed & Breakfast

We are across the street from Pepper Park Beach & Recreation Area. Complete with; 2 lighted tennis courts, basketball court, volleyball court, ball field, and large playground. This park has covered pavilions, BBQ grills, bathrooms & showers. We provide beach towels & beach mats also, we have a limited amount of beach chairs and umbrellas for our guests' use. The National Navy UDT SEAL Museum is within walking distance of our Inn. There is a dock in the backyard with river access and no fixed bridges to the ocean. Bring your boat, there are several public boat ramps on North Hutchinson Island. The rooms have been updated in 2014 when the new owners took over. Most of the rooms, all non-smoking, have a king size bed, one has a queen size bed. We serve a home cooked, hot breakfast (varies each day) including fresh fruits and juices, depending on seasonal availability. Please notify us of any food allergies or preferences before check in. Coffee and tea are always available. Free WiFi. We invite you to experience our island paradise. 4. Lake Okeechobee KOA Camping, RV & Recreational Activities

Okeechobee KOA Resort is your tropical vacation campground featuring a palm-fringed 9-hole golf course, driving range and putting green. Nearby Lake Okeechobee, known as Florida's Inland Sea and referred to as the “Big O”, is the largest freshwater lake in Florida and offers the best boating and fishing in the area.

5. Vistana Beach Club

Enjoy the spectacular ocean view from your villa balcony, only steps from the resort's private beach access. 6. Rhumcay Beach Resort & Island Grille

Rhumcay Beach Resort and Island Grille is centrally located in the heart of Fort Pierce Florida, at Hutchinson Island. This oceanfront pet friendly inn offers on-site fire pits during winter season, beach volleyball, outdoor projection screen for televised events, and much more. We also offer you two indoor bars, an outdoor patio bar, as well as a Beach Bar, at our Island Grille restaurant. The restaurant is equipped with two large, newly installed awnings to protect our patrons from inclement weather, as well as ten big flat screen televisions. Our hotel offers direct beach access, private balcony or wrap around shared access-balcony views, several rooms are equipped with a full kitchenette. All rooms are equipped with microwave, coffee station, mini-fridge and irons/ironing boards. We are only a 10 minute drive from the Fort Pierce Inlet State Park, five minutes from the Manatee Observation and Education Center, and twelve minutes from the National Navy UTD Museum.
